Plastic granulate is a common form of thermoplastic materials used by raw material manufacturers of plastic materials in the plastics processing industry. Due to the looseness of the plastic granules, the bulk product is similar to sand or gravel and simplifies the packaging and transportation of the material.

The processing begins with the melting of the granulate in the processing cylinder. The injected substance flows under high pressure through the nozzle of the cylinder (extruder) into the filling sleeve of the tool, through the filling channels into the mold of the tool. The amount of dissolved material must be large enough to completely fill the tool mold. Dosing and spraying is done by an auger. Then comes the cooling of the press in the tool, the opening of the tool and the ejection of the finished product.
